A Great Rail For Your Awning, Plus a hint for fitting
This is the second time I have used this type of awning rail and it is great! A HINT and My advise is to tape it on where you want it to be fitted and drill the holes into the van body before you remove the sticky tape cover. I then removed the rail and the sticky backing added a strong sealant and then applied the rail back to the van and screwed it into place.I'm not saying the double sided sticky tape is not good but I wouldn't trust it to prevent water getting to the holes drilled into mild steel and causing rust to form under the rail!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great Value for Money
I would echo the sentiments of others on here that the rail itself is very good but the screws are a waste of time. The 2 supplied drill bits were a nice touch and I used them to pilot drill for the stainless steel self taping screws I got from tool. station. Over all a bargain.= so much so I bought a 2nd set as my awning turned out to be longer than 3.6m.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

mostly good but it needs thought.
The finish on the extrusion was better than expexted. However the screws that are provided are of very poor quality. They appear to be no more than mild steel ? I gave up with them after shearing the heads of three of them, brought 1 size up stainless steel self tappers. Used a good quality high speed bit, and a properly set up power driver. Good bit of kitc
I fitted this to my Mazda bongo it fits perfectly just above the j rail there’s a groove almost made for it to sit which makes it easy as you don’t have to worry about getting it level !! Stick it in place very good sticky stuff. Drill and fix if I was being hyper critical I would say the self tappers are poor but then what do you want for under £17 brilliant is all I can say will make life a lot easier thanks highly recommend.

Good priced quality rail extrusions......
Good quality extrusions at a reasonable price. Heads of screws provided seemed a little soft on final tightening but no real problem unless removing. Slot in rail probably more suited for 8mm Keder piping than the smaller 6mm piping on my tarp which looked as though it could pull out in a high wind.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good quality and easy to fit
Fitted the rail to the side of my Motorhome which has an aluminium skinned body. I marked up the position of the rail then used the tape to stick the rail in position before using the provided drill bit to drill the pilot holes. There are silicone washers in the pack of screws which are a bit fiddly to thread on but seem to do the job. I read about the weakness of the screw heads, so made sure I had the correct No2 cross head bit (not posidrive) and was careful with tightening, I didn't have any problems and it was finished in no time. I tried a new 6mm Kader strip and it slid through nice and easy. I didn't use any sealant but will keep an eye on the fitting if needed in the future.
