    Best Teasmade so far.

The Teasmade has gone through many design changes over the years and this is probably the best so far. on the plus side it has an analogue clock with real hands rather than led ones and therefore the display is much clearer. Also it has a back-light dimmer which is necessary in a bedroom; the previous model had a very bright light. The one real negative is the water boiler which is made of an aluminium alloy and eventually corrodes. This is the reason for me having to replace the Teasmades several times over the years! I would like to know why they don't use stainless steel and a separate screw-in heater instead of the integrated one in the alloy boiler as this would make for a more reliable product. Packing and delivery was excellent.

    Unlucky?

Ordered this teasmade and it arrived the next day. Unfortunately it had inadequate packaging and was broken when it arrived. Contacted the seller who arranged for it to be collected and send us another one out. When the replacement arrived it was intact but leaked everywhere! It was also an older model than the first one which didn't have the dimmer on the clock light. Wouldn't have been much of a problem had it not flooded hubbys sock drawer, but thought it was worth mentioning. Seller promptly refunded when I declined the option of going for 'third time lucky' and communication was good, so would recommend the seller but not their product.

  • Best thing since vacuum flasks!

Well, I expected it to be good, and so it is. I get out of bed in the morning in pain. It is a struggle to get my tea and carry it to my armchair. Now, all I have to do is to get a small jug of milk from the fridge, sink into my armchair and switch on. The only criticism I have, it it is not easy to check if I have put water in it. Not much harm if I have forgotten to do so, but disastrous if I put a double lot in. It would be a help if there were a little gauge beside the clock.

  • A good teas made

The light in the clock is adjustable and makes it easy to read the time. The tray doesn't fit very well as its too tight so it pops up but fortunately we still had a tray from our previous teas made. The clock ticks more quietly than our previous model. Its nice to be woken up gently as the kettle starts to boil.

  • Devotee design feedback.

Just like the previous models we have owned over the years it makes a good hot cup of tea to provide a civilised start to the day. But - the light does not effectively illuminate the clock face unless it is set to be excessively bright and the switches are very “stiff”.

  • Great for an early morning cuppa

We bought this so we could have an early morning cuppa without disturbing menagerie our cats and dogs, who would demand instant feeding... Stylish and works well - we don't use the alarm, just the excellent tea making facilities.

  • Needs more development.

The tea pot is a poor pourer. Messy. The lid's lugs are fragile. One already broken off. Poor design. I would like to turn the clock light off. Makes a super cup of tea. Looks impressive with the promise of a fine brew.

  • TEASMADE

I've had 1 of these before. However, this 1, the alarm is not very loud. I am awaked more by the sound of the steam pressure than the buzzer. That's the reason for only 4 stars. Apart from that it works perfectly. Since retiring, I now have it set up in the sitting room and just turn it on whilst watching tv to save walking to the kitchen.

  • A good economical tea maker

We have had several different models over the years and they all work well. This version has the advantage, unlike the digital version, that you can dim the light so that it does not distrub you at night but you can still see the clock. The only disadvanatge which has been the same over the years with all the models with a classical clock is that you have to set the alarm about ten minutes before you want the tea. Since the alarm hand is short it is a bit dificult to get the setting accurate to the minute, but who is going to gulp down their tea that fast in the morning that one minute matters.

  • Swan Teasmade

we have had Swan teasmades for almost 50 years but am very disappointed with this one the very poor light is on all night where as the others a good light would come on when the alarm went off, this one is still the poor light that is useless, as for the alarm it isn't loud enough to wake a light sleeper. I would not buy another Swan because they have gone backwards in there design
