Great idea. Only problem is ......
I have a small dog & therefore small/lightweight retractable lead. This is quite heavy & tends to weigh down end of lead & stop it retracting, meaning this lighted one drags on the floor. Bigger dog/stronger lead it would be excellent.

Good bright light for dog lead when walking at night.
Ideal attachment for the dog’s lead. Really bright fluorescent light for walking in the dark. Only criticism I have is that it makes the Lower part of lead a bit heavy and makes it drop to the floor. (Our dog is a Jack Russell and has a light weight lead)
