    Quick witted, energetic and a top sleuth!

    Miss Marple has been embedded within the British society ever since Agatha Christie wrote her. We love our crime capers what with Sherlock, Morse and the like, with Miss Marple firmly placed amongst them. Margaret Rutherford was ana exceptional actor and in my view gave her best performance as the amateur sleuth. These four films will entertain for hours; she never let's up not for a minute, as she slowly works her magic to find the culprit. Without doubt a very engaging ensemble of actors all very experienced in their own roles, which brings to bear on the most challenging cases. Like Basil Rathbone as Sherlock, these actors are quintessentially British and shows the world how professional actors can bring that special something into our lives. If you haven't seen this early version of Miss Marple yet don't wait! Get them whilst they are still available!

    In my opinion, the best adaptions ever done.

    I have watched many different versions of these films, with different actors taking on the leading role, and they are all good in their own way, but, in my personal opinion, these versions starring the wonderful Margaret Rutherford, are utterly brilliant! Every film that I have ever watched with her in, I have thoroughly enjoyed. These films in particular bring a little tongue in cheek humour, along with a certain atmosphere that only early British films seem able to produce. So yes, slightly biased I may be, but honestly, I can’t recommend these films highly enough! Sit back, put your feet up and enjoy.

    The original Miss Marple dvd set

    I really liked this box set it's in black and White and Margaret Rutherford is very entertaining to watch I find her to be the best Miss Marple myself although I like Julia McKenzie as Miss Marple too. The box contains four discs each in separate cases all region 2. There is good sound on each disc. They would make a great gift for anyone who likes a good murder mystery.

    Interesting, engaging, great mystery stories. Margaret Rutherford and Stringer Davies are superb actors, so funny at times, yet believable detective characters. Location’s are enchanting of a bygone era sadly and the interaction of all characters is sublime, making watching or viewing very entertaining. Already watched all the box set and will do so again soon.
