Decent bit of tech
The steam link is easy to set up, definitely use a wired network. There is no noticeable lag, games do have a tendency to freeze more often. This may be due to me running a gtx 570 rather than a more powerful card. You do end up spending half your time trying to make it work. It loses connection often and for some reason I had to untick the box 'xbox 360 controls' to be able to use a wired xbox 360 controller. Then tick it again for other games otherwise the D pad wouldn't work. For the price though you can't really complain. You can close steam big picture and it will duplicate your pc monitor. You haven't lived till you've played Pokemon yellow on a 50'' screen

Not a wireless HDMI solution
I really needed a way of wirelessly displaying on my living room TV what's on my PC's screen. I had read I could do that with Steam Link. NOT. The product itself seems to be of very high quality and very well designed. It's just not what some reviews had suggested it was. It won't work unless you plug a mouse or a keyboard to it so for me this is a deal breaker, thus I will not recommend it to anyone for that purpose. Otherwise it features really everything you need to connect it to your TV, LAN and ANY power outlet in the world! Really nice package too.
