Great deal for an older movie
Came really fast. Contacted seller with a question, answered me same day.I really liked the movie. It's an older movie, remember it from childhood. It was a gift for someone and they were very happy with it. It had some funny stuff in it. When you have parents and relatives that basically keep you in boarding school and are inattentive to you when they are around or too busy for you,all they had was each other. On Easter break they expected to go home and finally spend time with their mother( a single mom with a job that takes her all over the world) they are once again disappointed. The nanny shows up and tells them that everyone including her is either busy or on vacation. Unfortunately they are shipped to their grandpa,who doesn't want to be with them anymore than they want to see him.Jay,has a pet that he takes with him everywhere.A SKUNK! Throughout the movie wait until you see the chaos the skunk causes. Tracy,is a really smart girl and comes up with a plan to get out of seeing grandpa and it involves 2 guys that ended up in the same cab as they did trying to avoid going to grandpa's house.They stage their own kidnapping and put themselves up for ransom! The grandpa sees where they end up but just sees it as a break to avoid having them over.The kids make a deal with the 2 down on their luck crooks and hope that the money will help both them and the crooks who have money problems of their own. When the ransom demands are ignored,they find a way to make the kidnapping public with the police and the news. 2 incompetent cops, they are basically dumb,and don't see what's obvious. The adventures of the kids and 2 crooks are funny and they develop a friendship,the 2 crooks seem to learn in 3 days more than their inattentive relatives know about them in their lifetime. Car chases,mobsters, the ridiculous cops,the kids,skunk and relatives all get a reality check and learn a lot in a short period of time. Really good story. Good, clean comedy--a lost art?!
I love this movie. I'd seen it before (many years ago). I remembered that it was funny but that was about it. So I bought it this time. I'd forgotten just how funny the movie really was.
