Good product but not good value
I brought this product to descale my kettle. The product itself is very good and did the job however it took 4 satchets to do it and I only got one satchet for £1.50 on eBay but got 3 satchets from home bargains for 99p so eBay was not good value for money. I only saw them in home bargains whilst I was waiting for my other one to arrive so bought them anyway for next time. The most effective descaling product I’ve ever used.
I live in a hard water area, namely the largest city in the west country. Needless to say my kettle needs regular descaling. I’ve tried everything so called ‘Natural’ products from sliced lemons to distilled white vinegar & although effective to a degree, none of them completely descale my kettle completely. This Oust stuff is on another level. Not only is it quicker, it’s also much more thorough. Since using this a few weeks ago I’ve not noticed the build up I usually get using the other methods, so maybe it has some preventative qualities I’m not sure. The most important thing is there’s definitely less scale in my kettle which is why I bought this Oust in the first place. From a personal point of view I can highly recommend Oust & I’m gonna order the washing machine version for our aging machine to see if I can increase its lifespan.
