Based on the comic books' heroes from the 1920's, Defenders of the Earth is set in the year 2015 and brings together the legendary trio; Flash Gordon, The Phantom and Mandrake The Magican. They were joined by a trusted group including - Lothar, Mandrakes' confidant and bodyguard, IJ, Lothar's intellectual and edgy son, Jedda, the stunning and exotic daughter of The Phantom who has mysterious telekinetic powers, Rick, the handsome and dashing son of Flash Gordon whose abilities include a mastery of computers and electronics and Kshin, a 10-year-old martial arts expert. They all combine to form the Defenders of the Earth who must combat the evil Ming the Merciless and his legions of followers. The group must learn to work together as a team, combining their unique powers if they are to cope with the ever present threat of Ming. They are our best and last hope!
