Poldark - One of the Best Programs on PBS and now on DVD
Watch the first episode and you are hooked! This is an engaging series with excellent character development which make the actors so interesting. Even the good characters have their flaws and the bad characters have a human side. The actors are cast so well and you are quickly drawn into the story line. Captivating

Poldark -- the Best Series Ever
Poldark is definitely the BEST series that I have ever watched. Downton Abbey, Harry Selfridge, Indian Summers, etc. were all excellent, but none of them were as good as Poldark. The storyline is intriguing and hooks you from the very first scene. It is interesting and entertaining plus believable because it is relatively accurate historically. It is spellbinding. The characters are compelling and complex. The actors and actresses from the stars to the supporting characters are PERFECTLY cast and extremely skilled performers. Everything from the Cornwall country side to the costumes to the music is outstanding. I enjoyed Poldark as it aired but ordered the DVDs to share with family and friends who had not watched it. I NEVER introduced anyone to the show that was not immediately enthralled with it. I ordered Seasons 1 & 2 and have already ordered Season3 which has not even shown in the U. S. yet. Poldark Is Amazing!
After watching Season 1 (which is a True Masterpiece), I couldn't wait for Season 2 to come out in a Region 1 format -- so I bought a Region 2 format and am in the middle of watching it -- and Season 2 is as mesmerizing as Season 1. So now I'm recording Season 3 on my local PBS channel, so there will be no waiting for the show to go on -- oops, until Season 3 is over -- how disheartening. Anyhow, this is almost as good as Downton Abbey (the series by which all others are judged in this house).
