A good buy
I also have the i7 model which I have used for a year or so which led me to try out the i6. Basically, they are the same vac system the only difference being the way they are sold. It took several tries for both vacs to develop a map which is a great feature that allows you to select where to vacuum. I have owned previous iRobot models that required you to manually empty the dirt. I love the self-emptying feature of the i6 (and i7). The i6 cleans as well if not better than any of the iRobot's I have owned the only difference being it is a little nosier probably because of the higher suction power. Both the i6 and i7 seem to bump into objects a little harder than previous models I have owned. I don't know why that is unless their sensing system is not as refined as older models. That is not a deal breaker for me as I like the added features and can deal with a little extra bumping. Overall, I would recommend purchasing the i6.
