Lightweight, convenient
This is my first dedicated e-reader since I was tired of reading books on a small phone screen. The 7" screen is a good size, especially with resizable epubs; it fits in a medium sized purse and is light in the hands. It has a long battery life and high image quality. I have a 7th generation Kindle paperwhite to compare with. This Kobo doesn't have advertisements. I can side-load any of my ebooks or PDFs through a USB cable hook-up with my PC without having to email them to Amazon. Kobe handles all types of ebook files without having to convert them to an AZW or Mobi file like my Kindle required. I can also check out books from the county library system with this setup. A gift that's now being enjoyed very much...
I've been using a Libra H2O for about a year. Wanted one for my wife, coincident with Kobo letting it go out-of-stock & (maybe) replacing it with a slightly more expensive model. Anyway, I was pleased to find a Libra & my wife is now enjoying it very much. My only doubt is that the screen's brightness & background don't quite match to my Kobo's. While the unit I purchased for my wife appears to be new, I can't help but wonder if this variation is indicative of a problem? Then again, my wife is enjoying it very much so I guess I'm not going to wor\ry about this slight difference between the unit I bought directly from Kobo and this one purchased "open box" from eBay.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Premium ereader (if you're not locked in to Amazon's ecosystem)
Fantastic ereader. Noticeably faster than my Kindle Paperwhite. Love the public library and Pocket integration on the device. The larger screen is really nice too.
