Once upon a time, the trappers, the trekkers and even the soldiers did not carry sleeping bags. They carried blanket rolls. Up until very recently, wool was the best blanket material. Then, still several decades ago, Nylon fabrics came into being. During the Vietnam War, there appeared a new blanket – the Poncho Liner. Ultra lightweight blanket doubling as warming liner for rain-protection poncho. In Australian slang ‘swagman’ means a travelling workman. Something like American cowboy or a trapper, occasionally on a lookout for a work on the Frontier. The difference was, the Australian swagman travelingling on foot, and carried all his belongings in a bed roll.
It's a decent product, but not recommend it for larger people, it's very tight as a sleeping bag ( I wear 2XL jackets and its tight for me). Also the zipper tab is only on the outside.
This is so much more than the good ol woobie was. The so many thing you can do with it makes it worth the buy. Its one of those deals you gotta own one to see what its all about. Now I don’t go anywhere in the woods with out it.
Amazing product! Poncho, sleeping bag and a liner all rolled into one stuff sack. It's lightweight, breathable and best of all waterproof. All the stitching and seams are of the highest quality and very compact.
