Is Your Hood Safe from the HOODS in cars?
My hood is filled with a lot of folks of every age, culture, and language- speeding down my street. I wanted to know exactly how fast over the posted 30 mph they were going and I wanted to be incognito while doing it. The point was to produce a survey of days, times, hours, and may some video to show the police department why speed bumps would be advantageous on many of the streets in town. I do not have enough info to share at this time but the project is slowly coming together, and this little device is the key player. It looks like an ipod or smartphone, lightweight, and amazingly accurate. I tried it while driving in my car- the ones passing me on the freeway were actually speedoing 15-20 mph faster than I. The speeds on my street were10-15 mph higher- fortunately no one has been hit yet, except a mile away a lady was speeding to make the green light turning yellow and then red, hit and killed a pedestrian, and left the scene.
