Brand name is better in this case
Was making my wedding invitations and bought some cheaper glue sticks but they didn't have the same sticky consistency or ability to manoeuvre upon application. Ended up going back to what I was used to and it was well worth. Pound dearer than others per stick but false economy with cheaper brands.
