Best version yet, especially the magnetic base mount!
Version 5 is loads better than the previous version I used! Introducing the magnetic mount to attach the unit to the base to replace the weak little plastic one solves all kinds of problems. This is clearly more capable than before, especially with the Track Clip Pro...wider field of view, better rejection ofambient light, leaks, and more. I'm completely satisfied with TrackIR 5 and look forward to years of sim and game enjoyment with it.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Not as good as older versions but it works.
Not as well made as before but in the ball park. I bought this TrackIR to replace one that I thought I'd lost due to a basement flood. I found my original later on so it provided me a chance to compare one of the original TrackIR's to a more recent build. I found the new ones to be a bit flimsier overall. The cord is thinner and lighter as is the plastic housing holding the sensor. Both work fine but I went back to the original and keep the new one as a "spare".Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

It works and is not too terribly expensive.
I need to qualify my Yes answers here. It's not a bad product at all. I just think there are some things that need to be updated about Ver5.It has a rather sharp learning curve. You have to tweak it to your system. There are guides, yes... that get you in the ballpark but I have had to ask a lot of questions.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
