Good quality extra light strings at a great price
These are good quality bronze acoustic guitar strings (4 wound strings). Bear in mind these strings are extra light - ideal for practicing quietly at home, but not ideal for playing loudly as they will tend to buzz. They are also ideal for beginners as the light action mean they don't cut into the fingers severely so they give more time for your fingers to toughen up.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good all round acoustic strings
This review is for extra light strings as that was my purchase. Have used these string for a few years now and have been pleased with how they sound. They are a good choice for lighter built guitars and easier to play for beginners. The new packaging is a very good as have had slightly marked strings in the past with the old style paper and card packaging. I've been using these extra light Martin strings for quite a number of years. I bought a £500- plus acoustic guitar recently. It was fitted with expensive long-lasting light gauge strings. The action was 'way too high,..and as I didn't like the original machine heads ( tuners ), I decided to replace the tuners with a set of Grovers. The Luthier lowered the action to suit the Martin extra light bronze strings. Guess what ? the guitar is now like another guitar completely !. Much more comfortable to play, and the new tuners are far superior to the originals. The guitar looks better, too . Customising a guitar is most definitely the way to go, but make sure you get a good Luthier like the one I used in Fraserburgh. Happily, he is a Taylor Factory Authorised Service Technician, so it was in good hands !.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Gauge swap
