Easy to use and does the job.
Cartridge is easy to use in a skeleton gun. Fills gaps well in pipe sleeve sections and blanking plate surrounds onto brickwork. Can be applied with stove rope to seal gap where pipe runs through blanking plate. Finishes off well using a gloved finger or spatula. Advisable to use as much of the tube as the opened cartridge does not store well and it goes hard in time. Seems to withstand the temperature and only has an initial odour on the first use of the fire which becomes less noticeable with subsequent fires in my wood burner.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Does what it says
Used to seal a small gap on a rusting cast iron stack from a wood burning stove. Didn't need very much product, but saved buying a whole new stove setup. Fire cement in a tube
I bought 3 tubes to do two jobs. So far I have used one and a half tubes on the first job and have been very pleased with it. Previously I have bought tins of fire cement which were of thicker consistency and applied with a trowel, spatula or fingers. This is more convenient being applied with a mastic gun.
