  • i9 9900k is still formidable!

This is still a fantastic processor, especially for gaming and it will pair perfectly with any of the powerful new graphics cards. With a little bios overclocking, it will run stable at 5Ghz on all cores. This has hyperthreading, with 16 threads and this makes mincemeat of heavy desktop workloads. If you can get one for under £300, you have a very good value to performance processor, that will last a number of years still, amidst this current climate of constant cpu releases.

  • Best processor I've ever had...

It was a bit expensive but since I bought it second hand, I think the price was worth the way it's running. I paired it with a z370-g motherboard and have it running slightly overclocked at 4200 mhz, rather than the full 5000 mhz that it can do. I also bought the AIO Corsair H115i Pro cooler, which keeps it at around 50-60 degrees. They say that processors degrade over time, so I'm expecting it to last another 3 years, since I imagine the person I bought it from used it for at least 2. He said he didn't overclock it which would extend it's life some.

  • Great processor - if a little hot

If you can grab a deal on this it’s still relevant In 2020/2021 - intel hasn’t moved on much and this is still super fast and has enough cores to deal with any game or productivity workload. It’s a beast still. Just make sure You have a good cooler.

  • The best just got better

Amazing overclock ability This cpu hits 5.2ghz easily and maintains a low temp whilst doing it on auto using an Asus formula XI board and the Asis bios software - you don’t have to “do” anything. It runs everything I’ve thrown at it with ease. It is pricey - but you get what you pay for and I wanted the best - I got it.

  • Faster rendering.

Absolutely excellent processor. I had the i5 9600k in my iMac. This was by far the cheapest and easiest way to take my machine to the top. The rendering time has improved drastically and it is a much faster machine overall.

  • Faster and cooler than an i7-8086K

Replaced a i7-8086K with this chip. The 8086K was a delidded chip running at 5.1GHz, running on an Aorus Z370 Gaming 7. Plopped in the 9900K, and it booted right up at 5.1GHz, no issues at all. The 9900K runs cooler and is quicker than the 8086K - I'm cooling the 9900K with an old H100iv2 and temps never go over 85C in benchmarks, and rarely over 75C in games.

  • Amazing processor. Extremely quick.

This processor is amazing. The box is really unique. The power and performance is breathtaking. I did a benchmark test on how powerful it is compared to my last one. My last one scored 956 and my new one has scored 4878... I don't really know how the scoring works but higher is better 🥳
