If you have Optima batteries - get this charger!
Really, this product is specifically for the Optima line of batteries. It's a one-touch, set and forget to condition and charge their brand of battery. I have not used it on wet cell batteries yet, but I suspect the ease of use will be the same. The only gripe - it take a while to charge. The machine will 'condition' the battery first to accept the charge, which could take anywhere from 2 to 5 hours on top of the charge time.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Relieved
It is impossible to review a charger that has reports of different failures after time, having had it for a month and using it twice. In the time I have had it, I charged my Optima battery and my Sealed Lead Acid battery, and the process on both was easy and without issue. It is no different than any other smart charger I have used for the most part, except for the rates of charge and time for this procedure. This charger uses a verry low rate at longer times because of the (Absorbent Glass Mat) batteries design necessitating a different way of charging. It is not complicated or difficult if the charger works properly, and this one seems to have no issues at this time.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Optima 1200 works as described.
I have used this on multiple batteries with only 1 complaint. Trying to condition a low amperage motorcycle AGM and the charger went through the full cycle of charging and conditioning but when attempting to start the bike the battery went to dead and no start was initiated.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
