The origianl was a classic, but beware of fakes
I got my first JBL Micro Wireless in 2011 and got another in 2013. The sound quality is excellent, clean and punchy (for the size and price). Bluetooth connection is faultless and there is a 3.5mm jack attached as an alternative. I get 7 - 8 hrs use after a 2 hr charge. The real winner is the old school cog wheel volume control - so much better than the more modern push button control on the Micro's successors and most BT speakers. In 2018 I bought a pair of new Micros to replace my ageing originals. But they were fake - not bad ones, and probably value for under £10 - but lacking the base, no serial number (see pic) and having a slight background hum (JBL Support confirmed this in an email to me). These speakers have not been made since 2012 so anyone having quantities to sell are probably selling lower quality fakes - beware.
