The best option for getting another chance.
Had a paint catastrophe in finishing a renovation of an old guitar. The headstock. A small but very important area. Abrasion wasn’t an option, so Nitromors was the chosen method. It was a fiddly operation, involving several applications of Nitromors. But after a couple of hours I got down to the clear wood. All traces of the errant paint removed. Did the job!
Having never used paint stripper before, I can’t say whether it’s less effective than it used to be, I have heard the regulations have changed and a chemical has been removed which was very dangerous to human health so that’s why paint strippers aren’t as strong anymore, but I’ve just used this product to strip paint from copper pipes in the bathroom and it worked perfectly. After 40 minutes and two coats, the thick paint scraped right off. I was still concerned about fumes after reading the warning on the back and so bought some goggles and a facemask to be safe.
