NotesAlthough well-established throughout the world, Kremer has achieved a recent career sales peak with his Nonesuch recordings of the music of Astor Piazzolla. His remarkable affinity for the composer is again evident in a striking new project that collects ten of the Argentinian's works for small ensemble (including a piece which features the voice of Horacio Ferrer). Many of the arrangements are by Leonid Desyatnikov - who contributed his craft to the artist's EIGHT SEASONS project of last year and is the author of the title track homage to Piazzolla, as well as the ensemble's pianist. A second homage, "Violoncelles, Vibrez!" is provided by composer/cellist Giovanni Sollima.
