Newer releases have updated digital copyright protection and would not play on my Win 7 PC. So I had to makemkv extract the Bluray stream and burn it to a disc so I could watch it.

One of the all time greats
This movie was one of those from my younger years that left a lasting,unshakeable impression. The action,humor,and multiple interacting stories are awesome. The animation may be dated by today's standards,but is amazing all the same. My first taste of adult American animation. And I love it!!

Better then it ever was.
I haven't seen this movie in 20 years. I still have a copy of this, on VHS. I saw it one day listed at random, and had to get it. The blu-ray version is ok, but it's 1980's animation. I think I would have been just as happy with the DVD copy of it. Still a great movie, if you get into this kind of flick. Can't sit and watch it with the kids, that's for sure.

Good ol' Heavy Metal! What a great animation and a hoot to watch. Good rock soundtrack, too. I saw it when it hit theaters long ago and enjoyed it as much now as then. You haven't seen it? Get it.

This movie is totally great. The music is groovy. The animation is off the charts. I saw this movie on tv movie channel and ordered the same day. As soon as I got it. A blast from my Heavy Metal Magazine past. The styles and characters of the various artists leap off the screen. The DVD extras, interviews with those who put this film together, are as entertaining as the film itself. The T&A ain't bad, either!
