A very underrated excellent Signature Stratocaster.
I love it. I also own two other American Standard Stratocasters. I wanted to get a Strat with a slightly thicker tone, and a real Floyd Rose locking tremolo. While you can get traditional Strat tones from these pickups, they are their own animal. Always a little hesitant at buying a Mexican made Strat because of a MIM Standard I bought a few years ago. The neck work was poor precision and it was unable to get acceptable lower action, and the tone block for the tremolo was that cheap metal that dampens the tone. On a side note, if you own a MIM Strat, a huge upgrade in tone is to change out the tremolo block to solid steel. This Signature Guitar has exceeded expectation though. The neck work on the one I have, has very low action without fret buzz. Lower than on my two other American Strats. The tone block is Floyd Rose, so it sounds excellent. Not sure what the material Floyd Rose is using for their tremolo blocks, but they sound great. The strings are very bright and articulate. Also, I am enjoying all of the pickup positions. This is probably the most underrated, versatile Strats out there. If they are all built like the one I received, they have done Dave Murray right. Excellent electric guitar. A little heavy for a Strat, but I like it, and it adds a bit of depth to the tone.
