Fantastic shaving cream
Love the Taylor of Old Bond street line. In particular the Sandalwood scented cream. Nice cushion and very easy to make a lather. Though I personally find that the soaps in general have a better "slick" to them. But this is very easy to use and has a fantastic scent. Good luxury cream. Benefit from the softest shaving experience
This will be the first time I've purchased the product and it's currently sitting in the box unused, however I've bought this for good reason, because my first experience with it was quite unlike anything I'd used before back when I tried out my cousins Christmas present a year ago. Until then I'd only ever really tried out known brand shaving gells and cream. Although they were often pretty good in their own right, this one made my face feel soft for about a day after the shave. It was a strange experience, but the moisturising effect and creamyness that comes from this product is very apparent. I'd recommend certainly using a proper brush to lather it up and take your time to let it properly soak into the skin. It is very rich in consistency in comparison to anything else I've used before. As far as price goes, it is great value as each tub is going to last a fair while and at £10 it isn't extortionate. This comes in at a little pricier than the usual products I used to go for, but my past experience tells me it's worth it. I'd ended up buying another brand when last looking for something good to use at a local Boots store, and have used that over the last 12 months (having just run out to get this now) but it never gave me quite the same effect.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Don’t like the smell .... it’s not Sandalwood, but it's a great shaving cream.
I bought Taylor of Old Bond Street shaving cream on the strength of all the great reviews and generally the shaving cream is a good product, but it just doesn’t smell like sandalwood. If you buy other sandalwood scented soaps or cream like Proraso or any another they all smell about the same. This stuff doesn’t, it has synthetic citrusy smell and I don’t really like it. However the cream makes a fantastic lather with almost no effort and it provides a great shave. I won’t be buying this particular scented cream again but I will certainly be buy more TOBS it’s a great soap.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Have been using various shaving soaps for a few years now such as ‘proraso’ (if that’s how you spell it).. But couldn’t believe the difference when you spend a couple of pound more. This shaving soap is amazing. You need a very small amount and it just lathers up perfectly. The razor glides straight over the skin with this soap, leaving little room for irritation. Best shaving foam around by far.
I love this shaving cream. I have quite sensitive skin and find that I have no problems with irritation or rash following the use of this shaving cream. Combined with a safety razor, the cream lasts ages and gives a smooth, close shave. Personally I like the sandalwood, the smell is great. Highly recommended, I have been using it for years now. Does what it says on the lid. this is a nice soap, lathers well, good perfume but not overpowering, very smooth soap that goes on well and helps your blade glide across your face. Old fashioned is sometimes best.
The smoothest shave I have ever had and it smells good too. I have tried some other 'flavours' but this is my favourite by far. A proper badger hair brush is virtually essential but then it quickly forms a rich creamy lather. TIP: Sometimes it arrives too soft.
