Not sure how it works but it seems to keep my old friend's mouth cleaner than it has been. He also isn't suffering sensitivity eating cold food which did upset him in the past. It isn't perfect as his mouth still shows slight redness, but as he will not let me clean his teeth it is the best alternative. Excellent product bit expensive

Great product - Great value
Completely aside from this size being WAY better value for money than I could EVER buy in Australia - This stuff WORKS. My dogs have less tartar on their teeth and what is there is just softer and easier to remove than before I started using this. Both dogs are Spitz breeds (you know, "Independent") and don't tolerate me brushing their teeth. Adding complications: one is allergic to all meat besides fish and the other suffers from anxiety. Hard to find a tasty toothpaste to entice the allergic one and practically impossible to train the other to accept a brush in his mouth. It was hard enough to condition him to let us touch all around his mouth and the concern about ruining that hard work is real. (FYI both dogs are the same medium sized Spitz breed) With a scoop of this with dinner this and raw carrots first thing in the morning their teeth have never been better! Plaqueoff works!
We put our Ragdoll cat onto Plaqueoff when he was two years old. He died at 11 years and never needed a vet scale and clean. We now have a greyhound and put him onto Plaqueoff as soon as the adoption was finalized. We also brush clean daily using pet toothpaste. His teeth are "Colgate white" and, based on our cat experience, we expect that to continue.
