ACareful what you purchase
Used this to tow a mini back to gosport from outskirts of london. It did nt make the trip. A very sturdy piece of kit and our first time towing with a bar. Easy to use and set up, compared to a rope night and day, made the albeit short tow a lot less stressful than being towed on a rope with none of the jerkiness experienced when being towed by an inexperienced tow car. I looked at several other bars, this one won on price - and certainly from what I've seen the quality is there. Soft metal problem
It works, it's cheap, but after using it for a 1 mile trip, the part that closes the hook was bent all out of shape and I had to bend it back to get it off the car. It worked though and was a lot cheaper than paying a garage to pick the vehicle up.
