Topnotch scrambler
This rating is based on only a few weeks' experience so keep that in mind. Bike was needed for mixed use---paved road, unpaved drive, grassy hills, mud, a little snow and ice, and some woodland with steep trails. Basically a hunting bike. The huge tires grip EVERYTHING including wet leaves. The motor is strong enough to climb a decent incline (20 degrees-ish) unaided on dry grass or better; otherwise a little pedal helps. Will drag a loaded sled uphill. For reference I'm 5'2" 100lbs. in my fifties and the bike feels big---thought it would be more like a boy's BMX from the Wal but it is super stoutly built and heavy! The motor is reasonably quiet and battery life is excellent. Brakes do the job.
Knocked one star off for: limited instructions on how to slap it together (take it to a shop if you don't have a mountain bike guy handy), bent fork out of the box (Swagtron, seriously, ship it with the front wheel installed or frame the shipping box, too many people are getting bent forks and it is a beast to correct---we resorted to a trailer winch and a tractor), no fenders (needed imo), and, of course, the medieval torture seat.
Overall, I love it, and plan to customize the heck out of it just for fun. There aren't too many affordable off-road electric bike options for smaller folks so thanks to Swagtron for building this compact multi-use motorbike.
