  • Good product with room for improvement especially at that price.

My Park TS-2.2P arrived without being calibrated and centered. Had to purchase a $78 1554-1 centering gage to get it right. The tilting base is uneven, made out of soft plastic that bends under weight and the side shims had to be grooved to fit w/base and stand. In spite of the fact that the stand is well finished and solidly built, the adjusting knobs should be textured for more solid grip/adjustment. Especially the caliper arm one, that has to work against a strong spring and is a struggle to turn even w/dry hands. I am sure that a Taiwanese copy in the making, will have all the improvements at lower cost.

  • Great tool - needed a bit of calibrating

Park Tool's truing stand is the choice of both DIY bicycle mechanics and pro's alike. It's a sturdy tool that does it's job well. The only complaint I'd have is the calipers weren't centered from the factory, requiring the purchasing of the Park Tool Centering Gauge for $49. I'd like to see Park Tool package the centering tool with the truing stand since having to purchase another tool to calibrate the stand feels a bit like being nickel'd and dime'd to get a precision wheel built.

  • Good Stand. Room for Improvement

First off, this is a solid stand good build quality and a nice powder coated finish. It is constructed of a nice heavy metal construction that sits level even when not mounted to a platform. A lot of accessories for this. Some of which should probably come standard like the through-axle kit and centering kit. What dinged a star off this nice unit. - Constant centering of wheels. The 2 mounts that hold the wheel do not move together simultaneously and your wheel needs to be constantly centered to the truing gauge. There's an accessory for that! Overall, I like the stand mainly because I can true my rotors with an accessory add-on. I don't know if I would recommend this since it requires so many accessories just to true a wheel properly. It would make sense to just buy the ts-4 that takes care of most of the additions you need to true a wheel on this stand.

  • I wouldn't own any other stand that I reviewed

Okay, the Park Tool truing stand is expensivee, I acknowledge that fact, but when it arrived and I opened the unexpectedly heavy box, the quality built into the tool was obvious and I knew that I had made a good choice, one that will last for many years. The truing stand is fantastic and though its a hundred dollars more than the others I was looking at, its well worth the extra money. The tool is very accurate, its a precision instrument. Ive used it on 3 wheels thus far and its made my life so much easier. I wouldn't want to own a good bike without this. It will help make maintenance more enjoyable. I look forward to adding the gages that are available soon. If you are wavering on which stand to buy, just look at the photos. The others are sometimes of weird and flimsy design. This thing is awesome. Also...no need to add the axel stem, at least not for me. My road wheels fit nicely and easily into the tool without messing around. They clamp right in and the adjustments are easy.

  • Close But No Cigar

The trueing stand is not centered. It's about a 1/16" off. I have a dishing tool so I know when a wheel is correctly dished. Part of the problem is the clumsy way the axle sits on the stand, Park needs to fix this. The gauge for side to side adjustment and off round adjustment should be a high contrast color. For the money the tool costs, I would not expect these quality issues.

  • Are calipers set for the right dish?

After using the TS-8 was looking so forward to receiving the TS-2.2. Especially for setting the calipers for the right dishing on 700c wheels. When I received it and set it up, the dish adjustment was already set for me. It came that way. They do it from the factory and if its not perfect, they describe how you can do it. It makes it nice to know if your wheel is jam up on dish. Or, if it needs adjusting you take care of it with your lateral and radial clearances. Its what I had hoped for and it didn't disappoint here. The TSB-2 stand is nice to adjust to a clear and comfortable position for making your wheel corrections. I see why it's listed as one of the best out there for truing bicycle wheels. I've only used it for 700c front and rear wheels and a 26" front wheel so far. Great tool and very satisfied.

  • Great Tool, Easy to use !

I wish I would have ordered this earlier. I was a little intimidated at first but with a little practice I got the hang of it.

  • After all it's a Park Tool

A bit expensive for a tool that is only slightly modified since it's inception 20 years ago

  • Buy this stand- it makes buildin/truing wheels easy

Great stand- very solid. Even though it was assembled and calibrated, I still needed to adjust the unit with a reference T to make sure it was properly setup. The base was a great "freebie" to the stand.

  • Quality Build and Ready to Use

I liked this device as soon as I received it. No more wheel truing using pencils and elastics for me. Not sure if it requires some calibration as it seems I still need to use my dish tool on some rims. This is the best available truing stand on the market so if this does not do the job none will.
