Worth the money.
It appears quite sturdy, easy to use. It is bright enough to be visible away from the vehicle. The steering wheel has to be in the correct position to be able to attach this lock. Depending on the dashboard of the vehicle seems to determine where the lock fits the best, if vehicle has high dashboard in front of steering wheel I found lock fits ok at either side of high point.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Beware
Looks well made, and after reading that car thieves are getting around the sophisticated car locking systems of modern cars, then I thought it worth the modest investment. However, it doesn't go close to fitting on to my steering wheel. I own a two year old Ford Focus, which I would have thought was a pretty average car. Plus, these things nowadays are wrapped in sealed plastic covered cardboard, which has to be cut open and makes the return of the item impossible of course.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Unable to use as locking mechanism too tight & not adjustable, leaving deep stress marks in the steering wheel & unable to lock to secure it.
Bought this for a Skoda karoq sportline as we have had a lot of thefts of vehicles in our area recently but unfortunately, it doesn't fit the steering wheel thickness, which isn't particularly thick in itself & no different from many other modern steering wheel. The way the item is made, there is no adjusting it at all, so it made deep cuts and marks on the leather steering wheel & I was unable to close the locking mechanism to use it, so proved absolutely useless to me. Looks the part only
Now, car theft in my area is pretty much unheard of, but, for 10 quid, I thought better safe than sorry. I knew I wouldn't get quality, but it acting as a deterrent was all I actually wanted. Originally it did seem secure as well. It clipped onto my 05 celiacs wheel in a way that didn't damage the wheel but was secure. After only a few days though, it pretty much moves freely around the wheel when attached. Solid lock

Good value, reasonable quality............
Good visual deterrent. I have a BMW M3 & a Range Rover Sport & the one thing I would say is that the fitment around the steering wheel on both cars is quite tight therefore it marks the leather steering wheel surface.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Flimsy and too small.
Cheap and flimsy, feels very light weight. The part that attaches to the steering wheel is quite small and it doesn't fit over the steering wheel in my transit van without cutting into the wheel and leaving a sharp dent impression from the edges of the metal. Has a plastic clasp that swings around the bottom of the clamp with a small metal pin that holds it shut by way of a tubular key lock. Looks like die cast metal, so not really convinced it would stand up to the slightest abuse from a thief. It may function as a visual deterrent but my recommendation would be to spend a bit more and get something more sturdy.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Ok for pre-1960s cars but not suited for modern cars.
I found the quality fair, but fitting to a car built after 1960s is very doubtful. The older classic cars have skinny steering wheels which this steering lock would most likely fit, but more modern cars have fatter steering wheels and this lock will not fit them. If you're looking for a steering lock of good quality to fit the average car, then spend more money & don't buy this one. I have 'plonked' this lock on my steering wheel so anybody passing would think it's fitted but if they stop to look they'll notice easily its not on properly.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
