BURNING OIL? HIGH OIL CONSUMPTION? AMETECH Engine Restorer 250ml for a 1 Litre engine. Worn engines, neglected engines and high mileage engines often start to use more engine oil with time. The wear in the cylinder walls and piston rings, cut into the metal surfaces through friction during normal use, begins to allow oil to escape past the piston rings into the combustion chamber - often evidenced as blue smoke. Sometimes though, the smoke is not apparent, but the oil level still drops on the dipstick and the engine oil has to be replenished regularly - not only inconvenient and tiresome, but also expensive. Some engines are designed to consume a certain quota of oil every 1000 miles - straight from the factory! The user handbook for the motor car will usually give an indication of the oil consumption to expect.

    Engine Restorer easy to use and works

    I used this on a 22 year old engine has a bit of a rattle, with in the first 10 minutes after using this product the rattle went. engine also had low compression, 100 psi, now been using the engine for a few weeks now. and checked the engines psi and its gone upto 130 psi and the engine runs quieter than it has ever done. uses less fuel and easier to start. this product has brought the engine back to nearly new again. would recommend it as it has worked in my case and have not had to strip the engine down and do a rebuild with new parts. engine has been running now for around 200 hrs and it just seems to be getting better and better. if they made this for a 2 stroke engine i would definitely try it as I have a old generator that could do with some of this stuff.

    No Ametech - No Car

    My local garage are great mechanics - I;ve used them for years. I';d neglected topping up the oil on my 2001 Toyota Corolla and run it at below min level so wasn;t too surprised when the garage advised the rattling I was hearing was big end knock, indicating repair would be more expensive than the car was worth. With nothing to lose I tried Ametech. Two years and over 20,000mls later, my car is still going strong and the rattle is so reduced it is barely audible. Great stuff!

    Recommended for high mileage cars

    Bought this for a 2006 BMW 320d with 130,000 miles on the clock as it had started to get a bit smoky. I followed the instructions provided and added 2 x 250ml cans to the engine oil which had just been changed. 700 miles later and the smoke has definitely reduced. I would expect carbon emissions have probably been reduced also. Engine idles about 100 RPM higher than it did before, so that tells me that friction has been reduced and compression is better. A lot of these engine treatments promise lots but this product really seems to deliver what it says it will do. Recommend to anyone with a high mileage car who plans on keeping it for a few more years...

    Engine Restorer

    Bought on a speculative basis as told I had worn piston rings on a 140k 1.8 8v kjet vw engine. I'd replaced gasket seals and oil pump but was still getting oil pressure warnings. Literally chucked 500 ml of this in and the car loved it. She idles better, sounds quieter when running and the issues seem to be gone. Worth a shot for anyone.     Does exactly what it says on the tin. Resolved Mazda RX8 hot-start problems. Would definitely recommend and use again. Give it a thorough shake and add it to your oil.
