Great Banjo for the money
This is a Perfect Banjo for any level of player. I researched and went over the different Brands of Banjos and finally decided this Jameson was my best guess. when it arrived I was very happy with musiciansdiscountwarehouse. fast ship and the sound is much better than I had hoped. the workmanship and finish was very nice. detachable resonator. A nice "Kit" that requires substantial rework.
The banjo looks very nice and it will be fine for me, since I'm a beginner. There was some obvious mis-alignment between the neck and the body that require disassembly, reworking of some parts and then reassembly. It's better now but in the process of reworking I saw why it is inexpensive -- because it's cheaply and sloppily made. But, it'll do and it does LOOK nice.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Decently priced good beginner banjo.
It seems to be easy to tune. I am just now getting started to learn to try the three finger style. I have one finger on my left hand that was partially cut off but can still make a chords. Great looking banjo that sounds good!
My banjo arrived in excellent condition. Every piece of the banjo appeared to be properly installed. As a beginner, the banjo sounds good to me. I only paid about $150 and feel I got a real nice banjo for that price. I do not have any plans to play the banjo in a band. My goal was to learn how to play it and play it for enjoyment at my home. I currently do not see the need to upgrade to a more expensive banjo when this one serves the purpose, looks great and sounds great to me. Great banjo
Unfortunately arrived with resonator loose and screws rattling around inside. Banjo not packed very well, and no fragile sticker on box despite my written request. I was very nervous when unpacking due to package rattling sound. Fortunately nothing broken. I screwed it back together and adjusted the action and it was ok. Shame wasn't tested or packed properly.
