  • Compact, powerful, runs cool, quiet and efficient!

It's about maybe 60% smaller than the R9 290 I had for just under 5 years. A LOT more powerful, quiet, runs cool, efficient and I'm more than positive that this baby can last well over 15 years without an issue. If anything before that time comes perhaps the price of the 1080 or whatever Nvidia puts out within the next 10+ years the price of an elite video card will come down drastically like under $300 for what I paid for this one. My next move is to upgrade to an i7 on my 1150 socket mobo but that's another story. Setting this card up wasn't too much of a problem. Only issues I had was when I forgot to uninstall my old driver making me have to swap this card out for my old one, uninstall the driver software, plug this back in, boot it back up, install the driver software, update the GeForce Experience gaming software and fix my dual screen settings. On my smaller monitor I use to surf the web and use Twitch stream software. On my 49 inch LG UHD I play the video games and watch the movies and shows on. UHD gaming on this card should be pretty good but not quite perfect. It's pretty safe to say that it should be getting 30-45fps at UHD resolution on certain games. Overall I highly recommend this video card. It is an above average quality card and at a good price for one of the higher entry level gaming video cards. The 6GB VRAM is icing on the cake too. I seen a Colorful mini 1060 go for nearly $500 and you get just about the same performance or really close to it for about $200 less. Enjoy the good times!

  • Huge upgrade to my X51

I recently installed this GTX1060 into my Alienware X51 R2, which originally had a GTX645 (I think) from when I bought it around four years ago. My X51 was getting a bit slow and hinging while multitasking and gaming. Around a year ago I upgraded the RAM to 16gb for about $100 which boosted my multitasking ability, but gaming was still suffering. I was unable to play certain titles that I had purchased. I was thinking about buying a new desktop or building, when I realized that the GPU was the main culprit. After some research, I found that that 1060 was small, efficient, powerful, and affordable, which was the perfect combination for my X51's small case. Installed easily, and it is running beautifully. Playing games on Ultra with buttery smooth FPS now. I have an ultrawide monitor and two other monitors. I game on the ultrawide while using the other screens for streaming/browsing. It is a totally different computer now.

  • Great card

Upgraded from a 3GB 780 Ti that had a fan break on me. I am no disappointed. People might talk down on the 1060 but it has 6GB of video memory which is good enough for any games out there right now. I get 100+ fps in ultra mode (1920x1080) in most of my graphically intensive games.

  • Really convenient for a slightly outdated graphics card!

The graphics card here runs really well with my pc, especially with my vr headset. I hsd a 660 before, which caused my pc to crash a lot. The 1060 was a better upgrade and really good for people that need at least an upgrade from an even older card. I know it's not common nowadays for people to use this one since there are even better cards, but this one still is great for the price paid for, and it does everything thing I need it for!

  • Very good GPU

This card has been great so far. Had it about 2 weeks. The card is short but that doesn't mean it's less powerful. Great for cases with less room like mine is. Runs most games at ultra or very high at 1080p around 60fps. I'm very pleased. Would recommend if you want good performance that doesn't break the bank.

  • Awesome GPU

Been doing all my gaming recently on a system with a GTX660, which is/was a great card. Never had any problems with it and it ran everything very well. However, that said, when I upgraded to this GTX1060... Omg. Quite the difference. I immediately noticed how much better everything looked. The default settings on each game were allowed to be bumped up quite a bit and still ran beautifully with good fps. Loving it.

  • Performs well but runs hot and loud.

Temp. gets too quickly over 80 degrees in no time as soon as you start using the GPU but it does the job I intend to use. Other than louder fan noise and temperature, it does really good. It can be overcome with different GPU settings but it depends on the usage. Overall, it's worth for the price in today's GUP demand.

  • Very good price to performance

Plays everything I want to play on at least high settings on 1080p. I mostly play sandbox survival games like ARK: Survival Evolved or World of Tanks, World of Warplanes, World of Warcraft, and a little Star Citizen as well.

  • Excellent Performance and Price compared to the 1080....Perfect for VR! :)

An excellent card, performs extremely well with VR setup. Overall, it performs nearly as well as the 1080, without the hefty price tag. This card seems like the perfect medium for the high demanding but price conscious gamer.

  • EVGA 1060 6GB

With my intel core i5 4460 cpu, I can run modern games like Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Assasins Creed Odyssey with maximum settings between 50-60 fps. If you are going to play video games at 1080p, then this video card is perfect for you.
