    Great Burr Coffee Grinder

I took a chance on ordering a manual butt coffee grinder because I couldn't afford an electric one. I am the only one in my house who drinks coffee, so I ordered it. I used it for the first time today and I LOVE it! Yes, it takes a lot of cranks but you are rewarded with a beautifully even grind from start to finish. I would order this again in a heartbeat!

  • Most critical review

A lot of work for a small amt of coffee

It works great, it is well designed, and burr ground coffee tastes so good, BUT it takes a long time to grind enuf beans for one cup of coffee, 3-5 minutes fine grind. If you want coarser grind, it will take less time. We'll save it for power outages, camping, etc. Or for those mornings when someone gets up really early and doesn't want to wake the household w the electric grinder......

  • Great for my pour-over grind

Easy, with a little trial and error, to make the adjustment to get the grind just right. I have one of these in my motorhome and just couldn't do without another at home. I like pour-over coffee and use this grinder exclusively for that. Stainless steel always look nice. Follow the direction for cleaning and you'll do just fine. I highly recommend this grinder. Before buying my first one I read lots of the product reviews and was pleased to learn that the company sticks behind their product. Sounded like they were super easy to work with too.

  • Keep it simple!

You don't need electricity! And you can vary the grind, making a notable difference in the intense flavors of the coffee beans you use. So simple, uncomplicated, easy!

  • Good value

Works like expected. Hopper holds enough beans for a 6 serv moka pot, plus a little extra. Takes a while to grind but that's expected. One star docked for the conical burr being a bit off axis and I'm concerned about it grinding against the outer ceramic piece. For now I'm not going to spend a hundred bucks on a nicer one.

  • Coffee Gravel

I don't get it. I read reviews about how it grinds perfectly. I put in a half scoop of beans. It was easy enough to grind, but they came out like coffee gravel. I guess it will work in the French press, but way too coarse for the drip coffee maker. Maybe I didn't put in enough coffee?

  • Good manual grinder

This is a good small manual grinder. I use it for my 3 cup Moka pot and a full grinder of beans makes the perfect amount of grounds. The grind size adjustment is easy. It does take about 8 minutes to grind a full load but I tend to walk around and take a break to warm up the water in the middle. The handle slips on and off. At first I thought this might be an issue while grinding but it isn’t. It stays firmly attached and removing it makes storage easy. Overall I’m very pleased with the grinder.

  • Works better than expected, coffee came out in even size and the cup of coffee tasted better

Light weight, but it seems to be quite sturdy, should be last for long time. I used to have an electrical blade grinder for over 15 years. I bought this as a replacement as I want to avoid the annoying 10-15 seconds loud noise in the morning while the kids are having Zoom classes. It works better than expected. No only becuase it's quiet, I love it because the coffee came out looks more evenly in size (unlike my old electric grinder). The brewed coffee in my cup tasted better, seems the coffee flavor has been brought out more. I love it and hope that can last for long long time.

  • Coffee Grinder

I bought this to use when camping. It grinds easily and had variable settings for fine to course ground beans. I haven’t had any problems with it and would recommend the product to anyone that needs a compact grinder.

  • I love my Java Presse manual coffee grinder.

I love my Java Presse manual coffee grinder. It slows me down (which is good) while I walk around the house and grind away. I'm happy that the handle (which just slips on) stays in place. I can grind with my right arm for a while then switch to my left for a while. I get exercise for both arms that way.I do not have any cons yet about the grinder. I will be ordering another for my camping kit to make really fresh and smooth coffee out in the woods.
