Best thing since sliced bread.
I have severe psoriatic arthritis and have tried every type of opener on the market and just couldn't use them. Then I ordered this one. It is a lifesaver! Has a nice large grip on the handle, locking handles and it takes just a small amount of strength to move the handle back and forth. I was thrilled with it. Works well with little effort on all sizes
Some cans have too large a diameter for some openers. This opener works on cans of all sizes. It locks onto the rim firmly. Designed with arthritic or weak hands in mind, it operates with good leverage, and with your whole hand, not just your fingers or wrist. Makes my life easier
I was given one of these as a gift about 10 years ago. It was awesome then and lasted 10 years! I read a review that said the new model wasn't as good as the old model, but I purchased another one anyway, as mine finally broke. I think the new model is better!!!' These would be great for people with arthritis. I had my right index finger amputated and some can openers are hard for me. This one makes my life so much easier and I don't have to mess with those electric ones that always start messing up within a year. Better: Ratchet spins all the way around on newest model 2991. Could be better: Handle is shorter than older model. Controversy: Reviewers had said online says "dishwasher safe", but package says "hand wash." Our OEM retail package says neither.
