Great iron!
I love this iron for many reasons. I have had one of these irons for a year now, and it gets a lot of use. I have just bought another so that I have a back up in case I break the first one. For those worried about getting used to using a cordless iron and having to put it back into the base, the design of this one makes it so easy. It slides back into position pretty easily when you put it on the base; no lining up the bottom with the specific angle of the heat elements. It get hot quickly. It has vents around the entire perimeter of the sole plate. I have had absolutely no problem with it spitting water. It is easy to transport to sewing/quilting classes and retreats because of the great carrying case. It is a good weight for ironing -- not too heavy to make it uncomfortable to use, but not too light so that you don't feel it is heavy enough to press those thick seams. It is cordless, so you don't have the problem of re-wrinkling your fabric while pressing. Additionally, the cord for the base retracts into the base, so there is no cord flopping around while you are carrying or storing it. The only negative is that it uses up the water in the reservoir quickly, but that's what happens when all that great steam is coming out if it. The nice feature that helps deal with this is that you can remove the entire reservoir to refill it while the rest of the iron stays hot on the base. I am so glad I invested in one of these Panasonic 360 cordless irons!
