Added another one to the line-up
I'm on my sixth dyson vacuum with four currently in use around the house. I LOVE them all.
The v15 Detect is an equal amongst the others and serves its own role in my line-up.
i.e., I have a v7 for the cars, v6 absolute for quick clean-up/outdoor use (older one don't care that it's getting beaten up) and an older upright ball which I use for the garage.
There are two things I would offer to consider when thinking about the v15:
- its heavy. Get ready to build up some forearm muscles
- I wish mine came with the fluffy slim head cleaner. Not sure what the deal is with the attachment but it seems like most don't come with it and they have been on backorder forever
Finally, the particle counter/meter/measure feature is interesting and shows the advanced technology of Dyson but, in reality, I'm not sure it provides any real value. I can't say that knowing the particle size of what I'm collecting and that it never shows me a materially different reading is helpful. Cool, yes. Worth a premium, not in my book, and I am a huge Dyson loyalist.
I would tell you not to get it, as I am happy with mine, I would just offer to think about how you are going to use it. All the cordless Dyson stick vacuums are awesome but, in my book, each has a preference depending on your primary use. If you are truly considering a Dyson as your sole vacuum for an entire home or apartment, then the v15 will be awesome.
