Hardworking angry little machine
This wonderful little machine has some very good reviews online and its easy to see why.
We had an approx. 100sqm new-build backyard to rotavate. It was in a terrible state as the builders where unable to do any tidying up or rotavating before handing us the keys due to Covid-19. With no
We could have spent over 1000 pounds getting a professional to sort the garden for us but we decided to take on the task ourselves and get our hands dirty.
We ordered this on a Wednesday night and it arrived by Friday morning. By midday on Saturday we had finished half the garden. Again, this was a parcel of land that was really more of an abandoned building site than a family garden, full of embeded stones of all shapes and sizes and the occasional piece of debris. This machine was able to deal with all the stones. Although one or two got stuck in between the blades. When this happened I simply unplugged the machine and pulled the stone away, with some considerable effort one one occasion. Sadly one of the blades broke after hitting perhaps one embedded boulder too many.
Other than those incidences, and another annoying incident involving those angry little blades and the power cable (just make sure you follow the instructions and rotavate in the forward direction only, and pay attention to where the cable is at all times), there was no real negative experience.
All in all, we were able to completely rotavate and rake the backyard over the course of two or three afternoons, working at a leisurely pace. The yard is now ready for a layer of topsoil and turf. I've never done any garden work before now, but this machine has really encouraged me to at least try everything myself
