Ok and budget choice
I had an American standard thermostat, made by the same company obviously, as the sensei wifi stat was exactly the same base etc. I snapped it in place with the old base, took a minute to install. The features of the app are ok, but some are reserved for the website that your have to pay for, which is annoying.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Not worth it for me.
Was VERY hard to get it to connect to WiFi and instructions were ZERO help. Had to search and seach online and on YouTube. A one hour install turned into about 8-9 hrs over 2 days. I don't use my thermostat much and when you put it in off position, you can't use Alexa to turn the unit on. If it's on, you can raise or lower the temperature and that's it. So, I'll be using it manually all the time and I could have gotten a different thermostat for that for half the price.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

The best WiFi thermostat for simplicity and value!
I have installed 3 Sensi WiFi thermostats so far and this one I purchased on EBay will make #4. I also have an Icomfort and Nest that I use as well for my home and rental properties. I also tried to install a Honeywell but I had to take it back. I do have considerable experience with using these. Very simple to install and hook up to your internet. The App screen shows me 3 units at a time. One rental house has two HVAC units and two thermostats so this is valuable to check. The biggest bonus is all WiFi thermostats measure the humidity in the house. Anything over 70% causes mold and this Sensi software allows for humidity settings to run the air or heat automatically to decrease it. It even sends me an email when the humidity exceeds 70%. This Sensi unit also keeps track of the energy used by hours per day. Hands down better than the Nest which has issues shutting the HVAC unit down while you are away and this leads to potential mold. Read any Nest review and this issue comes up all the time. And the Nest costs twice as much.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

WIFI integrated thermostat that does not require a "C" wire
One of the few thermostats that will hook up to wifi that does not need a "C" wire. I go away for the winter and will be able to check my home to make sure the furnace is working and adjust the temperature. I can set a schedule for each day of the week with up to four events during each day or I can let it sense that I am home, probably through my phone app, and if I am not it will set the temp down three degrees and raise it back up when I get back home. I wish that I could use both of these together because I set the temperature down at night. it does it without fail. It also keeps my temp at the set point. It does not go down two or three degrees and then come back up to set temp. I have had a couple of different electronic set back thermostats before but this is much easier to set up.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

We found your thermostat to be entirely simple to install especially after having some experience with a Google thermostat that was a monster to do anything with. It sounded simple with all the squishing and pollen but yours is ideal it works beautifully we're so happy with it. The wireless works just beautiful I can check my temperature from anywhere from my cell phone within 1 mile or 3000 miles. WANT REMOTE CONTROL OF HEAT OR A/C? THIS IS THE ANSWER!
Super device! We needed it to monitor our second home (in an area where freezing temperatures are the "norm" during the winter months) to ensure that the temperature remains at or above our chosen setting (if temperature drops below our set point it will indicate a furnace failure). The secondary reason for wanting an internet connected thermostat is to be able to set the temperature up (or down depending on season) well before we arrive at that location... this feature enables us to "arrive to the desired temperature as opposed to having to reset the target temperature upon arrival and then wait an hour+ for the house to get to that temperature. Installing this thermostat was a cake-walk, could not have been simpler... I just followed the Emerson instructions on my Android smartphone (and, then, programmed the wi-fi connection using same phone). I will buy/install another one in our "first" home so that we can monitor/set the temperatures in that house in a similar manner.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Can’t be beat!
This is Sensi Thermostat #7 & #8 for me. I can monitor and control each individually from anywhere in the world all on the same App. I get high humidity alerts in the south if the kids leave a door open or the A/C is off or out. In Montana, I just got an alert it was suspected my system wasn’t heating in 20 below zero outdoor temperatures. Turns out my high efficiency furnace was rebreathing the exhaust causing frost to build up and plug my combustion air intake causing the furnace to eventually not fire. That alert just saved all my plumbing and diagnosed a problem with my venting. For those giving bad reviews, you didn’t get it installed right. Replaced an existing Emerson programmable model to gain wifi and easier programming capabilities. Not as flashy as a Nest but I'm extremely happy with my choice.
