Best wildlife choice for Sony without spending car or motorcycle money
Great lens, focus limiting is a must to speed up the focus for wildlife. It resolves well, used with my a7iv. Manual focus is smooth and brilliant. It’s pretty sharp at distance and very sharp close up. The cons it’s heavy, cases for the lens and body together with the hood are limited as it’s even bigger than my 150-600 sigma I have on the Nikon. You need a monopod really and even better a monopod with a gimble. You need a lens strap don’t carry this by the camera body strap. You can handhold for BIF but you wouldn’t want to be waving it around in the air unless you’re a weights addict. All the above said, you get this in a hide on a cushion you’re laughing. You’ll get great shots. After this you’re into silly money unless Tamron make a 600 prime for Sony at a more affordable price. I prefer the fact it doesn’t extend like the sigma. It would probably work well with a macro converter to get the minimal focus distances halved. All in you get one of these for a good price and you’re sorted

A great value lense
I have other G Master lenses and this is not far off the quality of the GMs. So value for money you cant go wrong and if you are lucky enough to grab a bargain on e-bay go for it
