Handy way to save money on a new battery (in the end)
Good all-round panel with sensible design and a good choice of connectors. You can buy higher output panels for the same money but some are poor quality and Oxford products generally deliver what they promise. Don't be surprised at the high open circuit voltage, it calms down once connected. I use one to keep my bike battery happy in the shed through the winter (starts first time in all weathers) and a second one usefully offsets losses from electron-guzzling background circuits in my van - even with the panel placed inside the widnscreen.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Excellent but......
Very useful if you have a garage without power as I've found this device provides enough charge so that I don't need to lug a jump starter with me every time I need my motor bike. However, as I already have an Oxford optimiser for when the bike is at home, I'm very disappointed to find that the connections from the panel do NOT have the same one as for my hard wired mains charger. This means I have to remove the saddle to connect the crocodile clips to the battery terminals which is irritating as that requires tools. As Oxford are predominantly known for their motorbike accessories, I was surprised to find that rather than the dedicated bike connector, they include a car lighter socket charger as well! As the bike connection is pretty feeble and cheap feeling, it does the job though, I would have thought that the cost to supply it as well would have been negligible. A small thing that shouldn't exist but detracts from the overall usefulness of the item.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

This seems like a well-made piece of kit. Plenty of options for connecting tothe battery. I have been using it for a few months now and it seems to work well as my battery has not gone flat whilst the motorcycle is stored. easy and efficient charging
Fits into the oxford stormex cover and keeps the battery ready for action . I have fitted the permanent wires to the battery, so I simply open the side cover and connect then cover the bike. The ideal solution to motorcycle battery maintenance when no mains electricity is available.
Welll designed and used in conjunction with the in built pocket in the Oxford cover, which I bought separately, it maintains the charge on my bike which is stored outside away from a mains electric supply. The panel works with any light source and has a flashing LED showing it's charging. Versitile piece of kit.
Bought this to keep one of my bikes battery topped up due to lack of use and standing outside under a cover during the winter months. Only puts out 100ma but should be sufficient to maintain battery voltage. Seems to charge ( blue led flashes ) with just ambient light ( not sunlight ) totally self contained. Pleased so far.
