Reasonable print quality, glad I bought used!
Moved from a Canon Pixma with failed printhead to this Epsom Ecotank. The Epson, like all printers it seems, was a bit hit and miss to get paired with a PC and MacBook but got there in the end. IPhone worked straight away. With only black and three colour ink tanks the print quality is average at best with good quality paper. Much more feint and less saturated colours than the Canon. No double sided printing option either is disappointing for a printer in this price range. Let’s hope the ink tanks pay off rather than buying ink cartridges. Very economical and easy to use, but print quality not great.
Really like the printer almost all respect except for it's print qulality. It is possible that one needs to buy expensive Epson paper to get good quality prints. On normal paper all photos are much too dark and need to be adjusted.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Excellent Printer, amazing bargain
Pros: Excellent printer, very good resolution, excellent scanner. Very easy to set up using the supplied software setup disk. Works great with both my Windoze 10 laptop and Windoze XP desktop. I found the easiest way to set-up the printer was to tell the software to set it up for a wireless connection, then at the appropriate place connect it via a USB printer lead so the computer can tell the printer the wifi SSID and password - to save you trying to load it to the printer manually... Hint - use the disk for XP even though the blurb says/implies the disk doesn't support XP (or Vista) - the software goes online and downloads the correct drivers. Full Marks!!!! so far I have printed about 25 pages and have not yet made a dent in the ink levels (which can be seen in the tanks). The ink bottles retail at about £9 each (£36 for a set), so if anyone is vending a genuine multi-pack for e.g. £29 - £32 then this is a bargain as well. Can thoroughly recommend this printer. Cons: The advert said £50 cash back ...then magically changed to £20 after I had ordered and paid for the printer. However, to be fair I have received £20 back now. Epson actually say "up to £50" cashback - its £50 for their more expensive printers, its £20 for this one. That said, Mighty Micro (mmicro1) are selling it for about £150 where Epson are selling it for £230, so with £20 cashback that makes it £130, which is an amazing bargain. So, not really a Con at all! Great quality and combination of functions but not easy to set up.
Print quality excellent, compact unit fitting easily on a shelf and easy to use once operational, Good price as is the cost of replacement inks so well pleased. A great upgrade in printing

Ok for documents

doesn't do air print like advertised

Epson ET 2710 Eco Tank
This Epson ET 2710 is a very good printer. The new design of ink held in 'tanks', is far superior to the ink 'cassettes' of past printers, as mainly, the inks last a great deal longer. That's why its called 'Eco tank. The print speed is excellent too. And the ability for copying is an advantage. The actual printer is much smaller than my previous PX 720WD, but does the same job, which is amazing. Takes a max paper size of A4 and smaller. The ink on normal shop bought paper appears to give a somewhat 'milky' end result, but that doesn't bother me unduly. The print is adequently readable. Apparently, this can be improved by purchasing Epson paper. If you want a good overall printer, then the ET 2710 will do the biz and that's all that matters in the long run.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Well pleased with this
There was a piece of paper which was useless through using no language, just pictures. However, the disc was much better at explaining each step. I bought two of these. One was for a friend who doesn't know how to set things up. he had a problem. I went around to sort it out and noticed he had put the disc in upside down! After that he had no problem. He set it up on WinXP, I set up mine on Win 10. Very good value. I've wanted one of these Ecotank printers for a while, but they were not cheap. This one is. Not only does it save a small fortune in cartridges, it cuts out the irritation of changing cartridges after using a teaspoon of ink. I haven't tried printing photos with it. It's larger than my old XP322, much easier to use.
Need to read through instructions a few times, it gradually falls into place, if you don't have have a CD built in you will need an external one to set up. It's nosier than my last Epson, prints well. Would recommend this printer.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
