Outstanding camera for the enthusiast (and pro, I suspect).
As an interested holiday/vacation type photographer, I traded in my D-90 for the D7200. It has a long list of impressive capabilities, many of which I doubt I'll ever use. On the other hand, there are very nice features that can be accessed either automatically or manually. Commonly used manual settings such as Flash, Focus, Metering, ISO and EV are easy to 'tweak' by simply pushing a button and rolling the command dials. The settings are easily read on the 'info' or 'i' screen, so you don't have to squint and try to read the little LCD window on top.
A neat feature is the ability to select sharpness, vividness etc. on a +/- scale of 1-8 (I think) in the menu, easily accessed all on 1 screen.
It does have some bells and whistles that seem to be bells and whistles, but hey, maybe someone may have use for them.
My one minor 'gripe' is that the photo files only have a 3 digit (number - 100, 101,102 etc.) naming system. The D90 has 5 characters, which are really useful in separating groups of pictures (e.g. day XX of vacation, or a 5 letter abbreviation of a city or vacation site) for later identifying and/or printing.
Overall, an awesome purchase.
