Must have a battery to start!
Just got my generator going seems to run fine and runs power tools fine. haven’t used it for much else yet. the biggest thing to note on this generator is that it has a small 12V battery but not electric start, but it WILL NOT START without a battery! the type of battery it has with a small plug there’s no good way to put a trickle charger or even jump starter on it! if you were to get the generator out in an emergency and the battery was dead you are kinda screwed! Really a poor design in my opinion why does it need a battery in order to pull start??Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Could be built better. Supposed to be 4th best brand according to testers.
According to testers this brand is supposed to be the 4th named best brand and best for low fuel usage. Only ran it about an hour to try it out on a 48 inch fan to make sure it works. Used propane gas to try it. Runs a little rough and tried to adjust the carburator but does not have an adjustment screw. Parts of it are plastic like control board and the pull cord cover and I would think this needs to be metal for extended life. Was easy to put the wheel kit on. I feel for the price of $450 it could have been better built because I have bought lower cost generators built better. I will see if it holds up as soon as I need it for an extended time.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great generator but...
Great generator but has a large crack in the blue plastic face plate. Doesn’t affect its operation. Dont know if it came like that from the manufacturer or if it was damaged during shipping. Other than that im satisfied.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Propane ready!
Delivered quickly, Easy, high quality hardware. I bought it because gas always fouls carb etc. Propane is very clean and no water or ethanol! Smell just like a forklift. 240V output is great to jump right into fusebox, I have gas heat and hot water and stove so as long as I don't dry clothes it runs my house.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

A nice product
I bought one and love it have used about 5 times this month. Didn't feel like dragging all the cords out for the airless sprayer and running wire between the fences ect... So I plugged it in and painted the whole house with it only used about 3/4 of a gallon in the few hours so it only cost about 1.50$ worth of electricity for a whole days job almost. Great little unit.
Thanks to wonderful PG&E. I was without power for 5 days here in Nor Cal. This little unit performed like a champ. It gave me the option to run on regular gas or Propane. I ended up using both methods. It plugged right in to my Transfer box and was up and running the whole house without any issues. It is somewhat noisy, but I live out in the mountains so for me it wasn't an issue. But for the value and performance. I would highly recommend it.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Pulsar Hybrid Generator
Generator appears to be well made and of quality materials. The only takeaway would be the poor and incomplete owners manual. It does not indicate a parts list (table of contents says it's on page 27.....manual ends at page 26). It also appears to have a battery but there is nothing in the manual about this. The connecting wires were pulled loose from the connector and bare (apparently from packing). This caused a spark when they accidentally touched together and had to be repaired.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Missed the mark
Product arrived damaged. Fuel tank dented, and battery connections burned. Yes, literally burned. They had clearly been on fire, and that also meant that the battery was trashed, or- swollen and dead as a door nail. The wheels were made of cheap plastic.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
