Happy with purchase
I purchased this scanner to scan film negatives. I am pleased with it's performance and happy with the software that came with it. The only problem I had is that after Windows 10 updated the scanner and computer would not communicate. I had to uninstall the then reinstall the scanner software. Probably more of a Windows issue than scanner issue. There are some good tutorials on YouTube on using the scanner and it's software. Only downside is that scanning the negatives is somewhat time consuming. Given the price it works very well.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

Just what I needed

The Epson V550 is a good and cost-efficient scanner.
Epson produces quality machines. I still use an Epson C88+ printer I bought back 12 years ago and is still being produced by the company because of its simplicity and reliability. I use this scanner both for 35mm slide reproduction, which uses a high resolution to produce useable prints. I also use it as a document and photo scanner.
