Replacement like for like
The old one finally gave up so replaced it with this, all was fine Except the water had a funny plastic type taste, seems other RH kettles had the same issue. There is a small red plastic level indicator inside and this seemed to be the source of the funny taste. We chose this kettle because it fitted the style and colour scheme in our kitchen. It’s a good quality kettle and boils the water quickly - it should do, it’s 3kw! Lovely kettle, with annoying problems!
This is the third one of these I have bought in the last 6 years. Although I love the design, there were two main problems: 1) it is very noisy. 2) The top of the lid snaps off!. The first lid only lasted a year, but was replaced under the guarantee, the second lasted 3 years. I am pleased that the latest model/version is much quieter, but how long the lid lasts, remains to be seen!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Quiet and quick good value...looks good. Almost too quiet. Thought it wasn't working! Very quick delivery. Some small criticisms of design Difficult to see water level in indicator in some lighting conditions Has black mains cord and plug. White would have been better. Pleasant to look at and boils quickly.

Russell Hobbs 3kW quick boil kettle. This product is fine to buy, not disappointed but not excited either.
This Russell Hobbs kettle is ok and is a reasonable to good quality product. (Made in China of course). Claims to be 2400-3000 Watts more like 2400 Watts (but I have not bothered to measure it) as 1.7litres takes 3.5minutes to boil to cut off. It is a quite kettle I think this is due to baffle plate located in the bottom of the kettle. (Our previous RH kettle lasted 6 1/2 years still working but leaking.)Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Quietest Kettle I’ve bought.
Best Kettle I’ve bought, really quiet and easy to fill through the Spout. Strong and well built and switch off immediately when boiled, that helps for the build up of lime in my hard water area.
