Excellent camera and well worth the price!
After doing endless amounts of research into CCTV in trying to build my first CCTV network I decided to go for this Hikvision 5mp camera. With a new project like this I sometimes fel that you have some sort of system to then establish want you want and what you don't actually need regarding features. Anyway after setting the system up the result is that I am very pleased indeed with this camera and it does everything I need it to do. It is well made and the picture is must better than I had hoped for. The night vision is incredible albeit it does look as if we have had heavy snow outside! The detail from the 5mp camera is very good for my needs and even registration plates from cars can be read with the zoom. The camera picks up on motion detect absolutely everything that goes on and I mean everything. Even on low sensitivity it will pick up birds, rabbits and even a spider that made its web over the lens! It was quite interesting to see it making its web. The downside? Well I could no way set up email alerts as it stands currently otherwise it would be constantly sending me emails... BUT it is doing its job very well.
