Boxer/Sevel swivel seats height problem solved
The swivel base on Boxer/Sevel based motorhome seats (2007 on) makes the seats too high for me (6ft) even on the lowest setting. This lowered seat base is well engineered & has a handbrake support bracket on both sides.The holes all line up with seat swivel, however one of the 3 holes for the handbrake lever was misaligned & a round file was needed to enlarge the hole in the handbrake bracket. I was advised to disconnect the main battery & leave for 30 minutes before disconnecting the seats electrical connector. The original drivers seat had supports for a plastic tray underneath whereas the lowered seat didn't. I discarded my tray. My passenger seat has the wheel changing kit underneath & this just about fits under the lowered seat frame with a little adjustment to the rear support bracket. The seats plastic outer side trims, which also support the electrical connectors, had to be reduced in size with the aid of a hacksaw & then drilled & screwed to the frame.
