Only one flaw
Locking nuts are so awkward, lock backwards compared to others I've used but whatever, they're so stiff to lock, feels like they don't fit or they've been swapped for cheaper nuts. If you can find some metal nuts, you should probably buy them if they're cheap enough... Will make life easier so you can spend more time using them. Weights and bar are spot on, the plates have kg and lbs on them which is nice. 30kg is nice for the 25 I paid. Would recommend these for beginners just trying to stay in shape or even those who want to save on their gym subscription.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Decent weights for a decent price
So I didn’t expect much when buying these weights and received what I expected. Not great weights but for a pretty good price. I didn’t have problems with oil/grease like what a lot of the negative reviews say but that was just me, however after about two weeks of ownership and semi-regular use the screw on caps that hold the plates on the bar are coming use meaning I have to tighten them between sets, could probably diy fix this however it is not too much of a problem currently. As expected with weightlifting, the weights are not too kind to your hands. I have been weightlifting for a number of years and even these weights have given me a few more callouses, this could be easily resolved through wearing gloves but I thought I’d include it anyway. Overall the weights arrived in good condition, each part was a bit more robust than I expected except for the screw cap thingies.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good value for money.
This dumbbell set is not the best quality but is vey good value for money. The spinlock collars are plastic but do their job and are easy enough to take off and put back on. The only negative thing was that the weights were oily or greasy when I received the product and had to give them all a good wash down before using them.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good value Dumbbell set
Firstly I’d like to say the set is good value for money, adequate weights for beginner to intermediate. The bar isn’t solid so care must be taken to look after it. The set also come with a coating of some kind of oil which smells very petroleum like, I wiped this off the weights and handle with damp cloth and a little detergent. I left the exposed metal as is because I suspect it may rust if I washed the oil film off. Overall a nice set for the price.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Horrible. Full of fuel or oils.
I cannot get this nasty old or fuel or whatever it is off the items. Everytime I use them my hands stink of some sort of patrol. This nasty stuff is absorbed by the pores in ur skin. Do not buy this cheap rubbish. I threw mine in the bin. 20 pounds lost.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Poor quality of materials
One key design flaw. The plastic grip in the centre of each bar which also acts as a stopper for the weights is not strong enough. As I tightened the weights I slowly realised it was allowing me to keep tightening longer than I expected... I then realised the plastic grip which should be stopping the weights was just being squished and was crumbling off. The plastic is therefore crumbling away gradually every time I use it...
