Easy features,no fuss kettle..does the job like a soldier

I must say I've never spent more than a tenner on a kettle before but due to my partners fibromyalgia we were looking for a solution that you don't have to keep lifting the kettle up. This is perfect we found for the money and the convenience its better than expected, even thou you have to wait for it to boil again if your making more than 1 cup it still performs quicker than a conventional kettle, it just sits in the corner no unnecessary steam hitting the above kitchen cupboards and a choice of cup sizes you can control with an easy dial on the top, construction seems solid with a convenient lid for filling on top easy peasy

    Not Impressed

It works ok and boils water really quickly. However, even on the top level, it fills little more than half of a regular mug, then have to judge which setting to use in order to fill the rest of the mug. I guess it would be ok if you just want a 'cup' rather than a 'mug' due to having to boil an amount of water twice to just get a mug full and then the first amount of water used has started to cool down.

  • Kettle replacement

Bought it to replace kettle, wasn't sure initially but decided to buy it in sale. Love the ease of use, cup size selection and the button to stop pouring in middle. Drip tray is magnetic but easily comes off which is the only negative point, it has to be more stronger. Very easy to clean and light effect when used is pretty cool.

  • Inexpensive and a great performer

I first owned a Breville water heater some 8 years ago and last year it started to die. I tried two replacements, one was the sophisticated and expensive Morphy Richards and some other less know brand. Both were poor in that the MR one just didn’t hear to 100 C and the other one gave out a slow continuous stream of water as it was heated which caused it’s own electronics to fail. The MR and Breville use the batch method to heat water which to me makes sense. I finally reverted to Breville fir my new heater and don’t regret it. This machine is not sophisticated and has basic options of control, volume only, not temperature, but it heats to 100 C is so near you wouldn’t notice. I wasted my time looking at other brands but finally arrived back at Breville, thankfully. This model has a larger tank than my previous model and it takes up so little counter top, that I love. It is also very fast to heat a cup of water and had no bother making several cups one after the other. It can be refilled by jug as it’s working too, something my old Breville couldn’t do (the whole machine had to be carried to the tap). This is half the price of many of the machines out there so if you don’t need temperature control ( MR), need a small foot print, largish tank, fast boil time and value for money, this is unbeatable in my opinion. I never cleaned my old Breville machine, maybe that’s why it eventually died, I will clean this one as per instructions. See the MR versus Breville side by side for comparison of footprint. MR is 3 litres, but tank alarm stops you emptying past about 2.7 litres.

  • One cup instant hot water

This is the third one I’ve had over the years, family and friends have been converted to these by me . It is so easy to use. No lifting a full kettle , I use a jug to fill it .

  • Good alternative to a kettle

Bought this because our kettle sprung a leak. Seems to be ok after 2 weeks of Xmas use. Difficulty is gauging how big the cups are to set the control on the top, so I always watch it as it fills up, as the drip tray is not very big. Other than that it must be more efficient than boiling a kettle for just one cup of tea.

  • Size of machine suitable for a single person or couple

I have only had this a short time but it seems to be working OK at the moment. One draw back is the amount of water dispensed when the dial is turned to maximum. To fill a mug I have to press the button down twice. I haven't cleaned it yet but the instructions indicate a very arduous process especially if as I do, you live in a hard water area. There is no mention of how often the machine should be de-scaled. The tray that holds the cup detaches easily because it is only attached by a magnet.

  • Superb bit of kit, lightweight with great features.

I've always liked these kinds of Dispensers, it's quicker and quieter than my last model, plus I get 2 more cups out of it. It's also worth the price I paid for it. and the water is extremely hot, I have it set for my mug of tea and there it will stay. Great item, I highly recommend it.

  • Great kitchen utensil

Seriously easy to set up and use 🤗. Dispense a single cup of boiling water in a few seconds. Has the option of variable cup sizes and a ‘stop’ function if you want to stop the boil or flow midway through! Straightforward and simple operating buttons, and a large opening for filling.
